1987 Marine Trader 47 Cockpit Motor Yacht – Now available in Midland, ON. This timeless trawler has seen extensive upgrades since 2021, making it a great fit for exploring Georgian Bay or tackling longer journeys like the Great Loop.

Recent improvements include a full Sunbrella enclosure and a comprehensive electrical refit featuring Victron lithium batteries, inverter/charger, and solar power—delivering dependable off-grid capability to run essentials like hot water, stove, refrigeration, and even air conditioning.

Equipped with both upper and lower helm stations, the boat offers flexible handling in a variety of conditions. The layout includes two cabins, two heads, and accommodations for up to six, providing comfortable space for family and guests.

Built in Taiwan the original Tradewinds 47 is a traditional sundeck yacht whose principal appeal was based on strong value for an efficient semi-displacement hull, and spacious accommodations. She rides on a solid fiberglass hull with a relatively wide beam, hard aft chines, and a shallow keel for improved directional stability. A lower helm was standard in the salon with an adjacent deck access door, and a serving counter with built-in storage lockers overlooks the large U-shaped galley. Topside, the full-width aft deck of the Tradewinds 47 is probably the largest to be found on a boat this size. Standard features included an aft-deck wet bar, hardtop, full teak interior, bow pulpit, swim platform, and radar arch. Among several engine options, twin 375hp CAT diesels cruise this Tradewinds 47 around 10–12 knots.
